Al-Quds Center for Measurement and Analysis is the first and only laboratory in Palestine licensed to perform pharmaceutical analysis by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Our primary focus is to provide analytical services to the community and researchers, especially in the fields of pharmaceutical, food, and environmental analysis.

We have been using Shimadzu GCMS, GC-FID/TCD, and HPLC for six years, mainly for pharmaceutical and raw material analysis. I have never had anything but a positive experience with Shimadzu products and service. As a Research and Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Pharmacy at An-Najah National University, I work in laboratories dedicated to transferring scientific and practical knowledge to students. For nearly eight years, we have relied on Shimadzu technologies, including the GCMS-TQ8040 and precision balances, to support our research and teaching activities.

I have used Shimadzu instruments in many fields in the lab, but especially in pesticide analysis, where we were able to identify pesticides and determine their real concentrations through the use of MS/MS technology. This has contributed to the preservation of human health and society.

My experience with Shimadzu has been exceptional. In Turkey, I received comprehensive training from highly qualified trainers, which made operating the GC-MS/MS system seamless. Since receiving the device in 2024, it has performed flawlessly without any issues.

SeAH Steel UAE LLC have been using Shimadzu's 1000kN Universal Testing Machine in our In-house Testing laboratory for more than 15 years now. This machine has been providing us with results of excellent accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility which is really critical for an ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited laboratory like ours. Shimadzu Middle East team has also been providing us with good customer support in equipment maintenance which we also appreciate. We value the performance and durability of Shimadzu's equipment, which has become a trusted asset in our operations. 

 

At Arab American University – Palestine, we specialize in diagnosing disorders related to organic acids using our Shimadzu analytical system. Our research focuses on various disease categories, including organic acidemias, aminoacidopathies, urea cycle disorders, and mitochondrial diseases. Over the past two years, we have analyzed more than 800 urine organic acid samples as part of our ongoing diagnostic and research efforts.

We use GCMS, which is one of the latest technologies available, and specifically the GCMS QP 2020 NX. The library is comprehensive and user-friendly, making data interpretation straightforward. Our team conducts regular maintenance on the instrument to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, Shimadzu’s local distributor - Biotech provides reliable support, promptly addressing any technical issues that arise during operation.

Looking ahead, we plan to implement a Newborn Mass Screening program using Shimadzu products. We look forward to future support through the use of artificial intelligence applications, whereby the software and libraries on the device are updated regularly.

 

I work as a lab technician at the College of Pharmacy, where I support academic and research activities by preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, assisting in experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and helping students with practical lab work.

We are using Shimadzu instruments such as UV-Vis, FTIR, and moisture analyzer for about 4 years. We use them for research and educational purposes related to pharmacy.

We have good experience with the mentioned instruments; they are accurate and reliable for our work. I am technically and administratively responsible for four quality sections: QA, QC, Stability and Validation.

I supervise these sections regarding their analytical work by reviewing and approving results. I also oversee the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in the company, including all QA activities.

I have worked with Shimadzu instruments such as HPLCs, UV-Visible Spectrophotometers and Differential Scanning Calorimeters (DSC) for qualitative and quantitative analysis for more than 15 years and have had a very good experience. I am very happy with Shimadzu’s quality in terms of instrument performance and their services during and after installation.

Inco Lab is a leading third-party testing laboratory in Kuwait. We have been using the Shimadzu 1000KN machine for steel testing for almost 6 years of operation, and we haven’t encountered any problems during this time. Our organization focuses on educational and faculty research. We conduct experiments for undergraduate students in analytical, organic, and nanotechnology fields. Faculty members and applied chemistry master's students in the chemistry department run their research projects using Shimadzu instruments, which are available in the department. Researchers from other departments, such as biology and pharmacy, also use Shimadzu instruments.

We have been using Shimadzu products for many years - GC-2014 since 2014, HPLC system since 2021, UV-VIS spectrophotometer since 2020, and analytical balances since 2023. These instruments serve educational purposes and are essential for analytical chemical analysis, VOC analysis, and pharmaceutical analysis.

Shimadzu products have proven reliability and precision in our laboratories. The software is easy and understandable, with a wide range of features that fulfill the needs of researchers and students. Compared to other products, Shimadzu instruments require minimal maintenance.

Looking ahead, we are planning to expand our use of Shimadzu products in LC-MS and gas chromatography. We hope to add more GC instruments with advanced detectors, as well as SEM, TEM, and NMR systems. Additionally, we aim to include more Shimadzu UV-VIS spectrophotometers for educational purposes.

 

Our work focuses on the production of generic pharmaceutical products, and within the Quality Control department, we are responsible for the analysis and release of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.

We have been using Shimadzu instruments since before the year 2000, and our current lineup includes the UV-1800 Spectrophotometer, the IRTracer-100 FTIR, and the SALD-2300 Particle Size Analyzer equipped with both wet and dry measurement accessories.

Shimadzu has provided excellent support, particularly in service quality and availability of accessories. Their staff also delivers comprehensive training on instrument use and maintenance.
